On the morning of June 19, local time, Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at the presidential Palace in Berlin.

China always attaches great importance to its relations with Germany. My current visit to Germany and the co-chairing of the seventh round of China-Germany inter-governmental Consultations with Chancellor Scholz are aimed at implementing the consensus reached by the two heads of state, continuously enhancing mutual trust and reducing misgizations, exploring new opportunities for bilateral cooperation, enriching the China-Germany all-round strategic partnership, and contributing to the development of the two countries and global economic recovery.

Li Qiang pointed out that China and Germany have no fundamental conflict of interests, solid foundation for cooperation and strong driving force for development. We are full of confidence in the prospect of China-Germany cooperation. China always supports openness and cooperation. We believe that the biggest risk is lack of cooperation and the biggest hidden danger is lack of development. China is ready to work with Germany to uphold peace, development and cooperation, play a constructive role in contributing to global stability and prosperity, and provide more certainty to a turbulent and intertwined world. China's development is a positive contribution to the world and an important opportunity for all countries.

The German side opposes decoupling and any form of camp confrontation, and stands ready to strengthen communication with China and make joint efforts to promote world peace and development.

The two sides also exchanged views on the Ukraine crisis and other international and regional issues of common concern.
